MOSCOW, April 26, Alexander Sergeev. Head of the Judicial Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Pavel Kamantsev said that at the general meeting of the clubs of the Russian Premier League (RPL) questions were not raised about the quality of the work of referees.
The general meeting of RPL clubs was held on Wednesday in Moscow. Earlier, the general director of Krylia Sovetov, Vadim Andreev, resigned from his post in protest against the actions of judges in the RPL.
“Today, the financial issue was discussed, initially it was supposed to be in October. It is related to compensation for the costs of refereeing. There were no questions about the quality of refereeing on the agenda. There was a question from Fakel, we discussed it. The club from Voronezh had a position that they will never apply to the Expert Referee Commission (ESC). They have a high-quality refereeing specialist in their staff, we did not know that they had questions for the RFU. I think Sukhina will contact us now. I'm not really I understood why they did not want to contact the ESC, but wanted to get answers at the league meeting.I think that this is not the right place to discuss refereeing issues, because other clubs are not so interested in refereeing in relation to Fakel,» Kamantsev said.
“The pressure from the clubs is always there. I can’t say that my presence at a league meeting is fantastic pressure. In a post-match call from a representative of the losing team, there is more pressure when emotions have not subsided yet. Maxim Mitrofanov asked us to make a report on costs and to speak in person. The meeting with Rostov was postponed next week. We are open to everyone. The whole world has my number. I don’t understand what was unique about communicating with Spartak. We met with the coach, talked. With any club within the framework of licensing the same process takes place. If the club has a desire to ask specific questions, the majority writes to the ESC and receives answers,» the agency's interlocutor added.
Also Kamantsev told what topics he wanted to discuss with the judges head coach of «Spartacus». “Guillermo Abascal had questions about the position of the referees, about the dynamics of the game, about how to deal with time delays. We discussed that this is an international problem. There were working questions. It’s just that Spartak is a big club. there was none at all, and everyone believes that we only met with Spartak. This is a question for the media, not for us,» Kamantsev said.
