Command Against Torture, a human rights organization that provides legal assistance to victims of violence by the security forces, reported searches at several of its lawyers in Nizhny Novgorod .
The police came to the home of three human rights activists, including the head of the organization's international legal defense department, Olga Sadovskaya. They also searched their office on Osharskaya Street in the upper part of the city, press secretary of the organization Natalia Kurekina told Mediazone. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations opened the doors there.
On April 14, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a search in the department of the “Team Against Torture” in Pyatigorsk. This was connected with a case initiated in North Ossetia.
Today's search in Nizhny Novgorod was also held in connection with this case. Human rights activists did not disclose its details.
