Locals refuse to come back
You can expect a lot from the Ukrainian Security Service. But the latest messages coming from Kharkov are baffling. According to the First Kharkovsky telegram channel, the SBU has prepared a trap for refugees from Kharkov who are in Russia. Relatives of those who left the region are offered 700,000 hryvnias ($18,000) to get in touch with their departed relatives and try to return them to Ukraine. For what purpose is the question. MK tried to figure out how true the reports about another provocation by the Ukrainian special services are.

The proposed scheme of the SBU is straightforward, but quite insidious. In fact, the calculation is made on the fact that the old and maybe really sick relatives of refugees for a huge sum will set up loved ones who will be imprisoned upon returning to their homeland.
However, this operation looks very strange at once for several reasons. Firstly, getting to Ukraine now is not an easy task. Directly from the Belgorod region, as it could be done once, now it will not be possible to return. One of the main reasons is the line of combat contact. It is dangerous not only to fall under shelling from the Ukrainian side, but also to run into mines that are strewn with fields and roads in the northeast and east of the Kharkiv region.
In addition, the purpose of such an expensive scheme remains unclear. There are already enough victims for the Ukrainian repressive machine in the region. Teachers and petty officials who collaborated with the Russian administration are endlessly imprisoned. There are also enough of those who are dissatisfied with the authorities in Kharkov, and now they have begun to “nightmare” active parishioners of the UOC. On Easter days, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a special registration of the parishioners of the canonical church.
Therefore, paying an astronomical amount for the Kharkiv region to lure 1-2 people to put them in the already overcrowded cells of the local SBU dungeons looks too illogical even for the Kiev regime.
On how they react to such stuffing Kharkiv refugees themselves, Olga, who moved to Russia from Kharkov last year, told MK.
— I strongly doubt that someone will go back to Ukraine for the sake of suddenly ill relatives. The fact is that now it is not only unclear how we can get there, but also how to return to Russia from there. Nobody will stay there voluntarily. Previously, it was possible to slip through, you needed a car and a lot of money. Probably very big now. And also the paperwork for a refugee in Russia and everything else is a real bureaucratic hell. If we, let's say, left the Russian Federation and returned back after some time, won't we have to arrange everything in a new way? It's all very risky.
— I just have relatives who stayed. I will not say who exactly they are to me. They did not take it out with us only because the person was really sick and practically unable to walk. He himself agreed to stay, because you never know what — the path is hard. Here he, for example, will call and say: «I'm dying — come!». Why go? How can we help him? It will not be possible to take it out, there will even be problems with the preparation of documents. Nobody will fall for this. No one will risk their lives, the fate of children. It's sad and unfortunate that we have to do this. But how else? Even if no SBU came up with anything, it is still dangerous.
