ANKARA, April 28 Ukraine proposes to expand the list of goods for export within the «grain deal», the issue is being discussed, Turkish Foreign Minister said in an interview Mevlut Cavusoglu.
«There are various proposals as part of the discussions on the «grain deal». For example, Ukraine says that let's expand the list, add more goods. Now this is being discussed. There are proposals in this regard, they were also sent to us. I hope , Russia and Ukraine will come to a consensus on this matter,» Cavusoglu said in an interview with TRT Haber.
The grain deal, which was signed on July 22, 2022 by representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN, involves the export of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizer along the Black Sea from three ports, including Odessa. The package agreement also provides for the unblocking of Russian exports of food and fertilizers, Moscow noted that this was precisely what was not done, while there were assurances from the UN that these restrictions would be lifted. Earlier, Russia extended the Black Sea grain initiative for 60 days — until May 18.
