
MOSCOW, April 28 In the Kherson region, new medical facilities will be built and existing ones will be modernized as part of the socio-economic development program, Vladimir Saldo, Acting Governor of the region, said in an interview .
«Firstly, the document provides for a phased increase in funding from federal opportunities. The development of the most modern healthcare structure is already planned. New healthcare institutions will be built. On the basis of those (medical institutions — ed.) that exist, there will be an improvement,» Balance said on air TV channel «Russia 24».
According to him, the main direction of the region's development — the economy, in particular, the agro-industrial complex — an agro-cluster will be created. At the same time, the balance stressed that all subsidies invested in the region will definitely pay off. «This is an investment,» he said.
The emphasis will also be placed on the construction and repair of the road network, the acting governor added.
The day before, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the government had approved a long-term program for the socio-economic development of new regions of Russia. As Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin reported, the key task of the program is to improve the quality of life of citizens. The program also contains measures to support the budgets of new regions, restart the work of key industries and enterprises, restore production assets and develop industry and agriculture, increase the level of wages for state employees, provide career guidance to young people, pay pensions, maternity capital and other benefits.
