MOSCOW, April 29 Kurganmashzavod will introduce the latest 2S25M tank destroyers and BT-3F armored personnel carriers into production, the Rostec press service reported.
As noted in the state corporation, additional state contracts have been concluded with the Ministry of Defense for the supply of especially popular types of weapons and military equipment.
«Since 2023, Kurganmashzavod has the status of the lead contractor for the state defense order. The plans for deliveries for the coming years include BMP-3, as well as BMP-3 after overhaul, BMD-4M, BTR-MDM, BREM-L, modernization of BMP-2 with the fighting compartment «Berezhok», mastering the repair of airborne equipment, introducing into production new types of military equipment — a 125-mm self-propelled anti-tank gun 2S25M, an armored personnel carrier BT-3F,» Rostec said.
The 2S25M self-propelled anti-tank gun on a tracked chassis was designed and built by Kurganmashzavod PJSC. It is armed with a 125 mm caliber artillery and missile system. This combat vehicle can be transported by ships and aircraft, and landed by landing and parachute methods. A self-propelled gun develops a speed of 70 kilometers per hour on the highway, up to nine kilometers per hour afloat.
State tests of the tank destroyer were completed last summer.
