MOSCOW, Apr 25 . The second exhibition has opened at the Zotov Center, the press service of the institution reports. It is devoted to the influence of constructivism of the 1920s on the formation of the language of the USSR.
The museum explains: constructivism proposed a new visual language at the turn of 1910 — 1920. Its characteristics are geometrism, conciseness of forms, solidity of appearance.

“From architecture, the principles of constructivism have spread to other areas, including cinema, book design, and the design of urban spaces,” the institution says.
The project is large-scale. The exposition includes 350 items from more than 30 museums. Guests will see works by such authors as Alexander Rodchenko, Vladimir Mayakovsky, El Lissitzky, Gustav Klutsis, the Stenberg brothers and others.

There are also handwritten posters for the Tenth State Exhibition that have not been shown before. It went down in history as a confrontation between Rodchenko and Malevich. Contemporary artists Platon Infante and Vladimir Abikh created installations specifically for the exhibition.
We also prepared a reconstruction of the radio speaker Gustavs Klutsis, the reading room of Anton Lavinsky, and printed reprints of newspapers and posters for the exposition.

The exhibition is accompanied by a public program: lectures, round tables, concerts. There are also inclusive events: a cycle of master classes in Russian sign language, game classes for children and adults with special needs are planned.
The exhibition «Logos: the voice of constructivism» will run until August 6, 2023.
