DONETSK, 30 Apr. In half an hour, Ukrainian troops fired three 152-mm shells at Yakovlevka and four 155-mm shells at Makiivka in the DPR, the representative office of the Donetsk People's Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC).
«Fire was recorded from the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine — ed.) in the direction: 03.40 — the settlement of Avdiivka — the settlement of Yakovlevka: three shells with a caliber of 152 mm were fired; 04.10 — the settlement of Ocheretino — the settlement of Makeevka (Kirov district ): fired four shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters,» the representative office said in a statement.
Artillery of 155 mm caliber is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Ukraine with long-range M777 howitzers of 155 mm caliber, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
