As specified in the department, the security forces have identified a former police officer named Andre as a «thief in law.» The detained resident of India is called Akash.
The result of a two-week operation was the detention of a swimmer on April 14 in the settlement of Arambol, drugs were confiscated from her. Two weeks later, security forces grabbed Akash and Andre with drugs and cash in the same place. During interrogation, the ex-cop, according to the drug control bureau, spoke about growing hydroponic plants at his home. Later, pots with them were confiscated from him.
It is known that the former security official from Russia has been working in Goa for a “long time”. He has fake Indian documents, including the Aadhaar card, which is issued to citizens and residents of the country after identification. Varganova, the bureau added, has been living in India for «several years.» According to a representative of the department, she sold drugs to foreigners, and also organized a hookah bar for the use of substances.
Among the drugs seized from Russians and a local resident were 88 doses of LSD, 8.8 grams of cocaine, 242.5 grams of charras, almost one and a half kilograms of hydroponic grass, 16.49 grams of hash oil, 410 grams of hashish muffins and 2 grams of methamphetamine. Also with the detainees were 488 thousand rupees, 1.8 thousand dollars, 1.7 thousand baht and fake documents, local security officials specified.
