DONETSK, May 1. At 12.00 Ukrainian troops fired five more NATO-caliber shells of 155 millimeters at Blagodatny, the representative office of the Donetsk People's Republic at the Joint Center for Control and coordination of issues related to war crimes in Ukraine (JCCC).
«Fire was recorded from the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine — ed.) in the direction: 12.00 — the settlement of Elizavetovka — the settlement of Blagodatnoe: five shells of 155 mm caliber were fired,» the message of the representative office in the Telegram channel says.
The village of Blagodatnoye in the DPR is located to the west of Soledar.
155 mm artillery is used by NATO countries. The United States has supplied Ukraine with long-range M777 howitzers with a caliber of 155 millimeters, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
