The Belogorsk City Court of the Amur Region fined Valentina Gamliy 100,000 rubles, against whom, due to comments on a local telegram channel, a criminal case was opened on «discrediting» the Russian military in Ukraine. This was reported in the regional court.
For the first time, a protocol was drawn up against an Amur woman under the administrative article of the same name in the spring of 2022 due to comments in the Blagmedia telegram channel about the life of Blagoveshchensk, the center of the region (part 1 of article 20.3.3 Administrative Code).
The woman called the invasion of Ukraine «the genocide of the fraternal people» and «a fratricidal war supporting fascism in Russia.» The Russian military «invaded foreign soil and bombed everything,» she wrote. Then she was given a minimum fine of 30 thousand rubles.
Because of her new comments in August 2022, in the same city public, a criminal case was soon opened on “discrediting” the military (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code). “The actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine [Gamliy] characterized as connected with the seizure of the territory of another state, criminal, predatory, associated with the genocide of civilians,” the press service of the regional court retold their content.
The Amur woman has a child, during the trial she was pregnant. The woman pleaded guilty, and the case, at her request, was considered in a special manner without a trial. Judge Natalya Kramar imposed the minimum fine provided for in the article and allowed it to be paid in installments over 25 months.
