LIPECK, May 2. The Lipetsk Regional Council of Deputies at the legislative level will work on the issues of rehabilitation of veterans of armed conflicts who returned from the special military operation (SVO) zone, said Dmitry Averov, speaker of the regional parliament.
The Chairman of the Lipetsk Regional Council of Deputies took part in the Council of Legislators under the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. It took place in St. Petersburg. The leaders of legislative assemblies discussed measures to support military personnel who take part in the SVO and their families. At the meeting, it was noted that it is necessary to adopt a standard of support measures for all regions, extending benefits to civilian specialists performing work to restore the economy in the NVO zone.
The work of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation was also discussed at the meeting , expanding the categories of veterans of armed conflicts, extending support measures to volunteers and their families.
«The heads of the chambers of the Russian Parliament today paid special attention to the issues of rehabilitation of veterans of armed conflicts who returned from the NVO zone. We are talking about providing psychological assistance, social adaptation of disabled people with severe injuries, providing them with high-quality medical care, and supplying technical means of rehabilitation. For the effective implementation of these measures are necessary, including clear legislative support both at the federal and regional levels. Together with our colleagues, we will immediately begin to implement them,» Averov said in the message.
one of the first in the development of federal initiatives at the regional level, a package of measures to support family members of NWO participants was developed and adopted. Among them are compensation for kindergarten fees, free school lunches, preferential travel on public transport, a free voucher for spa treatment for a pregnant wife, the provision of a social contract, free vocational training, medical, social services, free visits to cultural institutions by children, free legal assistance.
