MOSCOW, April 29 The son of actor Sergei Kolesnikov, who died at the age of 69, Ivan said in an interview with Channel Five that his father had died of a stroke.
«Stroke. In Sklifosovsky,» the publication quotes him as saying.
Ivan also posted an archived video with his father on Telegram. On the footage, young Sergei Kolesnikov performs a song with a guitar. Under the video, the son wrote only one word: «Dad».
Earlier on Saturday, the artist's wife, actress Maria Velikanova, announced his death.
Sergei Kolesnikov was born on January 4, 1955 in Moscow. He played at the Gorky Moscow Art Theater and the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater. He gained fame after his roles in the series «Petersburg Secrets» and «Truckers». He also starred in the films «Die Hard 5», «Black Sea», «Frozen Souls» and in the British TV series «McMafia».
