MOSCOW, May 3. 77 teams from six countries of the world became participants in the international championship «Battle of Robots», more than 190 applications were submitted in total, according to the message of the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia.
“67 teams from 20 Russian regions and 10 foreign teams will take part in the Battle of the Robots championship. Initially, it was planned to select 48 applications, but the applicants continued to contact the organizers. As a result, more than 190 applications were received and it was decided to expand the number of participants «, the message says.
Teams from Russia, Vietnam, India, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkey will take part in the competition. «Teams are already starting to create robots. They will have to develop a design and think over a battle strategy,» the ministry said.
The organizers of the championship are the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation together with Promobot and Double Yu Expo LLC. To participate in the championship, the team must have from three to five people, and the dimensions of the robot must be no more than 120x120x120 centimeters, weight — no more than 110 kilograms. Participants of the «Battle of the Robots» will share the prize fund of 6 million rubles.
The task of the team is to come up with and design a robot in accordance with the requirements of the regulations, and then control it in order to win the fights. The first qualifying round will begin in June, and the final will be held in December 2023, the winners will receive up to 2 million rubles.
