Doctors diagnosed severe open traumatic brain injury

As it became known to MK, on the evening of May 1, the athlete, along with his wife and friends, spent time in a restaurant on Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street. At the same time, a large and noisy company of natives of the Caucasus was resting in the neighborhood, who were celebrating a birthday.

At about 11 pm, the visitors began to disperse, both companies began to leave the establishment at the same time. Already on the street, a conflict broke out between the basketball player and unknown persons, during which the athlete received several blows to the head, and in the end one of the attackers threw him over the thigh.

During the fall, the Swede hit his head. Witnesses called an ambulance and the police. Before the arrival of the doctors, the athlete's friends and restaurant staff surrounded him to prevent the continuation of the beating — every now and then strangers ran up to him and tried to hit him. Blood flowed from the wounded man's ear, but he did not lose consciousness.

Doctors provided the necessary first aid on the spot and the patient, accompanied by his wife, was taken to the hospital, but the basketball player refused to go to the medical facility. Already from home in a private ambulance, the athlete was taken to a private clinic, where he was placed in the surgical department. In addition to a fracture of the temporal bone, doctors diagnosed an open craniocerebral injury, a fracture of the base of the skull and amnesia — memory loss.

The company that attacked the athlete was seen in this restaurant for the first time. One of them was called «Prince». The basketball player was a regular customer in this institution.
