She was quoted in an EC press release: “Together with Member States, we will jointly purchase even more ammunition for Ukraine,” the official said, “for this we are allocating an additional billion euros.”
In addition, the EC proposes to allocate 500 million euros to expand the production of ammunition in European countries.
In addition, the EU countries will transfer ammunition from their stocks to Ukraine with the support of the European Peace Fund in the amount of 1 billion euros.
Moscow previously sent a note to NATO countries because of the supply of weapons to Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that NATO countries are «playing with fire.» The Kremlin noted that pumping Ukraine with weapons does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative effect.
