In Veliky Ustyug, special forces came with a search to the chairman of the Vologda regional branch of the Yabloko party, Nikolai Yegorov. This was reported to OVD-Info by his relatives.
According to the human rights project, the special forces were accompanied by local police officers, employees of the E Center and investigators from Vologda. After the search, Yegorov was taken away in handcuffs for interrogation. Yabloko and OVD-Info write that a criminal case has been opened against the man for “discrediting” the army (Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code).
On the website of the Velikoustyugsky District Court of the Vologda Oblast, you can find three cards with information about administrative protocols on the «discrediting» of the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) drawn up against Yegorov. On May 20 and July 19, the man was fined 30,000 rubles twice for posting on VKontakte. On August 24, he was also fined 50,000 rubles for posting on social networks.
