MOSCOW, May 4 Presidential Press Secretary Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, speaking of an attempt to attack the Kremlin with drones, compared this situation with the beginning of the 2000s, when Vladimir Putin called on the West not to feed international terrorists from the hand — they did not obey, and tragedy followed.
““In the early 2000s, when we were fighting international terrorism in the Chechen Republic, President Putin repeatedly urged the Western community and urged them not to feed international terrorists from the hand. Because sooner or later they will hit you,” he said then President Putin,» Peskov told reporters.
«They didn't listen. And many countries of the world faced monstrous manifestations of international terrorism. Many tragedies happened. I really want people not to forget this story,» the Kremlin spokesman added.
Earlier, the Kremlin's press service reported that on the night of May 3, the Kiev regime made an attempt to strike drones on the Kremlin residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, two devices were disabled. There were no casualties or property damage as a result. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov later said that the head of state was not in the Kremlin at that moment. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a case of a terrorist attack «in connection with an attempt by the Kyiv regime to strike» with drones at the Kremlin.
