MOSCOW, May 4. At the end of 2023, Russia will be among the leaders among developed countries in terms of economic growth , Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
«According to us forecast1.2 percent, but there is a peculiarity in the forecast. You know that our forecast, as a rule, is corrected upwards from the estimate. We are still a little more conservative, because the budget, and indeed, some risks are laid down. As a rule, then all these years we really added plus, and IMF forecasts, as a rule, then minus. Therefore, I think that at the end of the year we will be among the leaders among developed countries in terms of economic growth,» the head of the department said.
According to him, growth will provide consumer demand. The Ministry of Economic Development includes in the forecast the growth of the indicator by four percent, and, as Reshetnikov said, there will be positive dynamics in all major components.
5.4 percent in real terms. The second point is social benefits and these are the decisions on indexation and social payments from last year,” the minister said. «in conditions of long-term low unemployment.»
In April, the Ministry of Economic Development published an updated forecast for the country's socio-economic development, which assumes GDP growth by 1.2 percent this year and 2 percent in 2024. Inflation, according to the ministry, will be 5.3 percent, real wages will grow by 5.4 percent, and real incomes by 3.4 percent.
