ALGERIA, May 8. Russia and Algeria work over the increase in trade between the two countries, said the Russian trade representative in Algeria, Ivan Nalich.
According to the Russian trade representative, the annual trade turnover between the two countries is about 3 billion dollars.
“Work is underway to increase and diversify the trade turnover between us. Promising sectors for us to increase trade turnover are: agriculture, food industry, mining, pharmaceuticals, engineering and much more,” Nalich said.
The trade representative noted that the mission, in order to strengthen the trade exchange between the two countries, regularly holds online conferences with Russian businessmen to explain how to do business with their potential partners in Algeria.
“We inform them about business opportunities, expected risks… 20-30 Russian companies participate in each such online meeting,” the Russian trade representative said.
Nalich expressed his conviction that the broad participation of Algerian companies at the upcoming Russia-Africa summit in Russia in the summer, the Innoprom industrial exhibition, and the Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum international economic forum will «contribute to the development and increase of trade exchange between Algeria and Russia».
