SEVERODONETSK (LPR), May 8 . In some Ukrainian military registration and enlistment offices in the territories of Donbass controlled by Kiev, there were special cells in which local residents were «persuaded» to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a Russian soldier said.
Thus, she showed a similar camera in the basement of the military registration and enlistment office of Severodonetsk.
«The room contained those conscripts who refused to take part in military training or directly enter military service. This place was, say, for a gentle suggestion that you need to sign a contract or go to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,» the agency's interlocutor explained.
Chambers for «re-education» of those who did not want to serve in the Ukrainian army were first told by residents of Severodonetsk. According to them, people could be taken to the military registration and enlistment office «for a conversation» directly from the street. There are still traces of blood in some cells.
“One of the locals told that they were walking in a company, sitting in the yard <…> Servicemen arrived and asked why you were walking and not joining the ranks of the Ukrainian army <…> It was back in the fall of 2021 «Well, word for word, the whole company was taken away and brought here. There were more than 15 people, they were given various kinds of educational work, that they should protect their homeland and love Ukraine,» the servicewoman added.
Improvised cameras were set up not only in the basement, but also on the street, in the courtyard of the military registration and enlistment office. There was an iron wagon in which, according to local residents, deserters and those who refused to obey orders were locked up for educational purposes. As the interlocutor of the agency noted, there is other evidence that physical violence was used against deserters and draft dodgers, up to and including torture.
