UFA, May 8. Seventeen people got food poisoning after eating shawarma in a kiosk in the Bashkir Meleuz, the SUSK RF for Bashkiria reported.
According to the agency, on Monday, 17 people, including 9 minors, applied to the infectious diseases department of the Meleuzovsky hospital with signs of food poisoning.
«The conducted investigative and operational measures established that the day before, the victims purchased shawarma at a recently opened kiosk in the city of Meleuz. Subsequently, the citizens felt a sharp deterioration in their health, sought medical help and were hospitalized,» the report says.
Investigators opened a criminal case under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «production, storage, transportation or sale of goods and products that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers.»
