BLAGOVESCHENSK, May 8. Investigators are investigating a bus accident in Blagoveshchensk, where 14 passengers, including two minors, were injured, the investigative department reports on its website Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Amur Region.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region, the accident occurred on the evening of May 8 near the intersection of Krasnoarmeyskaya and B. Khmelnitsky streets, the 22-year-old driver of Toyota Prius did not have a license, drove to the intersection at a prohibiting traffic light and collided with a GAZ shuttle bus. The minibus overturned on impact. As a result of the accident, 14 people were injured, including two minors aged 14 and 17. The help of doctors was required.
At the scene of an accident, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate are working. Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations disconnected the batteries of both cars.
«On this fact, the investigation department organized a pre-investigation check,» the SUSK said in a statement.
All the circumstances of the incident are being established, and a legal assessment of compliance with safety requirements in the provision of passenger transportation services will also be given.
