PANAJI, Goa, India, May 4. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is holding talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang on Thursday.
The meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the two countries is taking place in the Indian state of Goa on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the countries — members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Lavrov and Qin Gang greeted each other with a smile, shook hands. The talks began without introductory words for the press and continued behind closed doors.
The previous time the foreign ministers of the two countries met in April on the sidelines of the ministerial conference of the countries — neighbors of Afghanistan, which was held in Samarkand.
