BRATISLAVA, May 8. The territory of Slovakia in years World War II was mainly liberated by the Soviet Red Army, President Zuzana Chaputova said on social media.
«Our territory and the territory of Eastern Europe was mainly liberated by the Soviet Red Army with the help of domestic resistance, the 1st Czechoslovak Army Corps and the Romanian Army» , she wrote.
Chaputova also recalled that the anti-Hitler coalition included other major powers — Great Britain, the USA, France and China.
«By the end of the war, more than 50 states of the world were involved in it,» the politician noted.
