IRKUTSK, May 10. The corpse of a man who was bitten by dogs was found near the gatehouse on the territory of a vegetable store in Usolye-Sibirskoye, a criminal case was opened, reported Irkutsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
«The prosecutor's office in Usolye-Sibirskoye organized an investigation in connection with a report received on the discovery on 05/08/2023 of the corpse of a 63-year-old man near the gatehouse located on the territory of a vegetable store at the address: Usolye-Sibirskoye, Korostov St., with bodily injuries caused by dogs,» the statement said.
The prosecutor's office also controls the progress of the investigation of the criminal case initiated by the Investigative Committee under the article on causing death by negligence.
It is noted that during the prosecutor's check, an assessment will be made of the actions of local governments in the implementation of legislation in the field of keeping stray animals.
