OMSK, May 10. The head of the Omsk region, Vitaly Khotsenko, has agreed to allocate 700 million rubles to the region for the renewal of rural passenger transport, the press service of the regional government said.
This became known at the operational meeting of the regional government. Thanks to the allocated funds, the renewal of the bus fleet in the cities and rural areas of the region will take place as early as 2023.
«We brought more than 700 million rubles to the region to upgrade our buses. It is important that it is for intermunicipal passenger transport. In each In the area where I come, meetings invariably raise the issue of transport in our villages and villages, on routes between settlements and districts. We agreed on funds, now we need to quickly and efficiently fill out an application to the Territorial Development Fund. I think that this is a small, but a victory, we just need to convert it into transport now. We can be allocated more additional funds. This work must be brought to its logical conclusion,» Vitaliy Khotsenko said.
The government plans to purchase about 150 vehicles of various capacities.
