MOSCOW, May 10. The leader of A Just Russia — For Truth, Sergei Mironov, proposed assigning unique numbers to all UAVs in the Russian Federation and selling them with a passport with mandatory registration, entering information about the buyer into a single database.
«I propose a solution that will effectively solve both problems: to assign unique numbers to all drones in the territory of the Russian Federation, like a VIN for cars or weapons, and sell them according to a passport with mandatory registration, that is, with entering information about the buyer into a single database,» Mironov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Mironov noted that a single base could become the basis of a digital system for monitoring UAVs in the airspace. According to him, such measures will allow identifying drone owners and bringing them to justice. He added that administrative and criminal liability should be provided for using an unregistered UAV.
