MOSCOW, May 11, Andrey Senchenko. CSKA Moscow head coach Sergei Fedorov said he would not follow the 2023 Ice Hockey World Championship.
“I won't follow the World Cup. As they come to us, so we to them. There is no Russia there. If any information is needed, we will ask for it,” Fedorov told reporters.
The World Championship — 2023 will be held from 12 to 28 May in Latvian Riga and Finnish Tampere. Initially, St. Petersburg was the host of the championship, but the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) deprived Russia of this right. The Russian team was also not allowed to participate in the tournament.
