During the debate in the 2nd Western District Military Court, the state prosecution requested six years in prison for Nikita Tushkanov, a history teacher from Komi, in the case of comments on the explosion of the Kerch bridge. This was reported by his support group.
Tushkanov is accused of justifying terrorism on the Internet (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) and «discrediting» the army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code). In October, the teacher published several posts in which he called the explosion on the Kerch bridge «a birthday present for Putler.» In addition, according to investigators, in his social networks he used the wording “annexation of the occupied territories.”
The case of the teacher was considered in one day. The prosecution alleges that the man, through his posts, “formed ideas about the permissibility of terrorist activities” and “created a negative image of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation” on the VKontakte social network.
Tushkanov has been in jail since December last year. Then he was included in the register of extremists and terrorists of Rosfinmonitoring.
