The German publication Bild, citing data from the Baden-Württemberg state police, reported that on Thursday morning at the Mercedes concern plant in the German city of Sindelfingen, an unknown opened fire, as a result of which one person died and another was seriously injured.
«One person was killed, one seriously injured. The background of the incident is still unclear. The offender was detained,» Bild quotes the words of a representative of the department.
At the same time, the Ludwigsburg Police Department in its social media account specified that there was a police operation on the territory of the plant, but there was no threat to the population.
