Paris launches investigation into death of AFP journalist near Artemivsk

PARIS, May 10 Paris Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office ( Pnat reported that it had launched an investigation into a possible war crime following the death of AFP agency employee Armand Solden near Artyomovsk.
It is noted that the investigation is entrusted to the staff of the Central Office for Combating Crimes Against Humanity and Hate Crimes (OCLCH). The OCLCH commission will head to the site of Solden's death.
Since February 2022, Pnat has been conducting seven investigations into possible war crimes against French citizens, two of whom were journalists.

France Presse on Tuesday reported the death of its journalist, 32-year-old Armand Solden, near Artemovsk. According to the agency, which refers to its employees, the journalist died as a result of shelling on the outskirts of the city of Chasov Yar. It is noted that the deceased served as the agency's video coordinator in Ukraine. He has been working there since September 2022.
