MOSCOW, May 11. The security service of the Wildberries marketplace revealed illegal ways to promote on the site using external services, according to preliminary data, the amount of damage is about 650 million rubles, the company said.

According to the press service of the marketplace, about 300 sellers used the services of «gray promotion» on the online platform: the attackers offered their services to them through a specially written Telegram bot.
«Through it, sellers, using specially configured algorithms, used advertising services on the site, but did not pay for them, which caused significant damage to the company. Sellers who used fraudulent schemes will have to pay for advertising services in full, as well as answer the questions of the investigating authorities,» Wildberries explained.
The company reminded partners that the use of third-party services «may lead not only to the loss of control of personal accounts and losses, but also to violation of the law.»
