KRASNODAR, May 11. An enterprise in the Krasnodar Territory, which previously produced drones by hand, is switching to mass production of devices, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said.
According to the press service of the regional administration, the head of the Kuban met with the founder of a research and production enterprise, where unmanned aerial vehicles are assembled, Alexander Fomin.
«We have repeatedly met and discussed the development of this area in the region. I know that the developed models of drones have already been successfully tested in combat conditions and have proven themselves to be the best. The first prototypes were assembled by hand. Now you are switching to mass production. Unmanned aerial vehicles are in demand on the market. We are ready to continue to support you, this is important for the economy of the entire region,» the press service reports Kondratyev's words.
He noted that such drones are necessary for military personnel, but they can also be used in agriculture or for fixing traffic violations. According to him, the range of applications of devices is huge.
«We have developed several products and those that have shown their effectiveness according to the test results, we are starting to mass-produce. We are ready to provide the needs of the country's law enforcement agencies in the required quantity with equipment», Fomin commented.
It is specified that the company has already transferred the first batch of drones to the units of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the National Guard. Until the end of May, they plan to release another 50 devices. In general, the company creates more than 70 different complexes, three of which are widely used in Russia. Since 2020, the enterprise has been producing the only unmanned aerial vehicles in the country for fixing traffic violations, operating autonomously, without a traffic police crew. In addition, drone operators are trained on the territory of the enterprise.
In the Krasnodar Territory, a number of regional support measures are in place for local manufacturers producing products for the needs of the North Eastern Military District. For example, in the region there is a compensation of up to 30% of the costs of creating and developing import-substituting industries, as well as preferential loans from the regional Industrial Development Fund from 5 to 200 million rubles at rates from 0.1% to 4% per annum.
