Did the Americans land on the moon? The doubts that have been expressed about this since 1969 have not yet subsided. On May 9, the British tabloid Daily Star drew attention to a post on the telegram channel of the former head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, in which the politician again called for a better deal with the old “lunar” story. The article was called: “Lunar deception. Russia has accused America of faking the moon landing. But we were actually there.”

What did Dmitry Olegovich talk about? Rogozin, in particular , said that ten years ago, while still working in the government, he sent an official request to Roscosmos to provide him with documentary evidence of the Americans' stay on the moon.
“I was very embarrassed by the fact that Soviet cosmonauts returning from multi-day expeditions could barely stand on their feet and underwent a long recovery after such flights, and the Americans crawled out of their lunar ships like cucumbers from a garden,” he writes.
< p>In response, Roskosmos sent him the book «Conquest of the Moon by Astronauts» with a comment by cosmonaut Alexei Leonov that they really were there. However, Rogozin was not convinced by Leonov’s words that the astronauts “told him about it themselves.”
Later, when the politician himself became the head of the state corporation in 2018, he continued to search for the truth.
“But I didn’t find anything there either, except for the angry accusations of some of our academics who like to go to America at someone else’s expense, that I, they say, undermine the “sacred cooperation with NASA,” he says. In addition, according to him, he was rebuked by a high-ranking official, accusing that Rogozin, with his doubts, «aggravates the international situation», while he «by virtue of his nature» was only trying to get to the bottom of the details and establish, at least for himself the true state of affairs.
As a result, Dmitry Olegovich made the following conclusion that instead of evidence of the presence of the Americans on the moon, he received «proof of the presence of their people in our» establishment «.

“There are a number of convincing facts that indicate that the Americans were on the moon. The most important proof: the substance that they brought from the moon, and then gave us samples of it in exchange. There are no analogues of this substance on Earth. This is strong evidence that the United States was on the moon.

But I rely on what I observed personally, on what I know from the very preparation of the expedition, on my many years of contacts with outstanding prominent scientists, members of the American Academy of Sciences. And I have no doubts about all this, I believe these people one hundred percent, because they themselves participated in the preparation of the missions.
There are many photographs that astronauts took on the Moon. One of these was given to me by astronaut geologist Harry Schmitt (Harrison Schmitt is one of 12 people who have walked on the moon). He presented it to me on my 80th birthday with a dedicatory inscription.”
“My opinion: the landing of astronauts on the moon does not require additional evidence: the whole world saw television and radio broadcasts about their flight. As for the well-being of the astronauts upon their return to Earth … This can be explained by the fact that they flew for short periods of time, on average a week, and therefore looked cheerful. But what they suffered more from after returning was the caustic, all-penetrating moon dust.
