KEMEROVO, May 12. Monotowns of Kuzbass can receive financial support from VEB.RF for the construction of infrastructure, the press service of the regional government reports.
«Kuzbass Governor Sergei Tsivilev instructed the heads of 24 single-industry towns in the region to finalize applications for non-refundable financial support from VEB.RF for the construction of infrastructure,» the report says.
«We have prepared amendments to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, providing for the transformation of single-industry towns into districts. We hope that this proposal will be supported, and all 24 single-industry towns of Kuzbass will be able to receive non-refundable financing for the construction of infrastructure through VEB.RF. We are ready to actively cooperate in this direction, it is necessary municipalities and investors to work carefully on the preparation of applications,” said Irina Makieva, chief managing partner for urban development of VEB.RF, at the investment council held the day before under the head of the region.
Also, within the framework of cooperation with the corporation, at the invitation of the Governor of Kuzbass, Igor Deryabin, Director of the Block of Urban Solutions and Development of Monotowns of VEB.RF, held meetings with the business community of Novokuznetsk and Prokopyevsk.
«Kuzbass is interested in the development of entrepreneurial initiatives, because these are investments in the region's economy, new jobs, the introduction of modern technologies into production. Preferential loans and infrastructure support opportunities provided by the VEB.RF Development Corporation can complement the regional preferences that we have for small and medium-sized businesses,» the press service of Sergei Tsivilev quotes.
It is noted that, subject to investment and the creation of new jobs, businesses can count on support in construction, removal of infrastructure restrictions. In addition, VEB.RF offers lending to investment projects for capital investments in the amount of 5 million to 1 billion rubles at 1% per annum (under a bank guarantee), lending secured or other forms of security — from 250 million to 1 billion rubles at 5% per annum .
Among the projects applying for a preferential loan from VEB.RF are the production of medical implants, the construction of a swimming pool, and the creation of an industrial park. Their successful implementation will create new high-tech jobs in Kuzbass, improve social infrastructure for residents of Kuzbass cities.
