It is already clear how much the parents will pay for this event. «MK» found out how things are in different regions with «graduation» expenses — not only in grade 11, but also in grades 9 and 4, as well as in kindergartens, where parents also do not skimp on their children (although ahead those still have a lot of “graduations”.
In Novosibirsk, children from the graduating class of one of the schools will celebrate the event in «the coolest restaurant where the city's top officials go,» and they also want to ride around the city in rented limousines. To do this, parents donate 10,000 rubles each, and this does not include the cost of outfits and gifts for teachers. Some parents found the limousine «excessive luxury», but do not want to «disgrace the child», so they reconciled.
— The issue of price depends on the capabilities of the parents and the wishes of the children, — Mikhail Bogdanov, head of the city parent committee of St. Petersburg, told MK. — In 11th grade, the average cost of graduation is 20,000 rubles, and for ninth graders, parents will spend about 10,000 rubles on graduation. or a little less. These amounts do not include outfit costs. Graduation venues also vary greatly; in recent years, it has become fashionable in the case of 11-graders to travel outside the city to nature.
In the Leningrad region, they offer the organization of graduation (grades 4,9,11) in various banquet halls and cafes at prices from 6,000 to 7,950 rubles. for one child. This is just a banquet…
As for the regions more distant from the center, there, as MK found out, the average price for graduation is 10,000 rubles. (again, no clothes). “This amount included gifts for teachers, a photo session, hall decorations, a DJ host for six hours, two thousand per person for a cafe. Parents reacted calmly to this amount, they don’t go to anyone who cares, ”said my mother from the Samara region.
— We have so far handed over ten thousand rubles for our twins in the 11th grade — and this is only for an album and gifts for teachers on the last call! says Oksana from Izhevsk. – We still don’t have clarity on money; I hope to meet the thirty thousand for two.
The range of prices for prom dresses for boys and girls is great — for every budget and taste. Graduation Dress Collection offers prices from 8,000 to 35,000 (let's take the price in the middle — 15,000). Plus shoes and clutches for «princesses» (average 6,000). Total 21,000 rubles for a girl's outfit. A suit for a young man will cost from 12 to 16,000 rubles. Plus shoes.
If all this is added up, then the average expenses of parents in the regions will be about forty thousand. And if the parents fork out to the maximum, then the total expenses will jump to sixty-five thousand rubles.
In Moscow and St. Petersburg, spending soars sky-high.
Muscovite Maria surprised by a common family decision. Their graduating son agreed to donate a «pompous event» in honor of his graduation so that his parents would instead give him half of the «graduation» amount for his personal needs. And what, a normal practical approach!
— We immediately abandoned the prom, restaurants, red carpets and fireworks, — Maria smiles. — I'm not even in this chat, in which the parents of our class are discussing fundraising and all this pretentious nonsense …
Our child immediately agreed to take the money, it will please him more than a restaurant. Our class is with an IT bias, two-thirds of the boys study in it, who are indifferent to parties and restaurants, but most agreed to go there after a parental kick. (After all, it often happens that parents need graduation more than a child.)
— 18,000 is only the restaurant itself, food and entertainment. Plus, the decoration of the hall, gifts for teachers, graduation album, dresses and suits, flowers …
I don’t give gifts to teachers (at least not to everyone indiscriminately), I have some complaints about them. So out of the entire «graduation basket» we order only the graduation album, which costs three thousand rubles.
“Other expenses” also include filming a farewell video, which is still around twenty thousand for all. The total amount of all expenses would be approximately 40,000, and we will give half of it to our son …
By the way, one boy from our class made the first restaurant contribution (8,000) in advance, and now it turned out that he leaves with his family at the end of June abroad and does not get to the banquet. And, of course, no one is going to return the money to him.
After all, there are also fourth-graders who also say goodbye to elementary school! And they want to have fun too. In Cheboksary, for example, parents of fourth-graders of school No. 65 (as many as ten classes are graduating there) must hand over 7,000 rubles each, and this amount seemed too large to some of the mothers. “They ask to collect 7,000 rubles from each class,” one of the parents said, specifying that “the expenses will be used to decorate the hall, create a photo zone, a gift to the school and teachers.” In addition to this amount, parents of fourth graders must also spend money on photo albums and cafes. One of the fathers wondered if fourth-graders really needed such a magnificent celebration?
Kindergartens are also trying to keep up with schools. Parents of kindergarteners from several regions described to MK the spending on their graduations.
— The official part costs 4,000 rubles for one child. Party with parents: animator, barbecue, gazebo rental — 3,000 rubles. Costume for one child — 5,000 rubles, multiply by two — 10,000 rubles. In total, we will lay out twenty-four thousand for two children.
But this is not the whole nightmare: we still have a third son, the eldest, and he is graduating from the fourth grade this year, — shared the mother of twins from the city of Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
— For graduation in our garden, we paid 4500 rubles, these are gifts for staff and children and a trip to the game room (2500 rubles). The outfit for the child so far costs 3,700 rubles: 1,300 trousers, 1,300 sneakers, 1,100 a shirt.
