KHARTUM, May 12 Government army and Forces in conflict in Sudan Rapid Reaction Force (RRF) signed an agreement for the first time in which they pledged to do everything possible to avoid harm to civilians, Al-Arabiya TV channel reported, citing sources.
This is the first agreement between the army and the RRF since the conflict began on April 15.
«Agreement on a preliminary agreement in principle between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Reaction Force in Jeddah has been signed,» TV reports.
According to the clauses of the agreement, the parties undertake to refrain from any attacks that could cause harm the civilian population, as well as to take all necessary precautions so as not to harm the civilian population, to allow all civilians in the Sudan to leave the fighting areas and besieged areas, to protect medical workers and public institutions in the Sudan.
The situation in the Sudan, where mid-April, there is an armed conflict that is not improving, despite the negotiations of the delegations of the parties to the conflict in Saudi Jeddah, which began over the weekend. Earlier, a representative of the Saudi Foreign Ministry told Al-Sharq TV channel that the negotiations are being conducted through intermediaries, their goal is to achieve a stable short-term truce.
