Residents of the burnt Tatar village of Yuldus in the Kurgan region asked for help from the head of Tatarstan

Residents of the burnt Tatar village of Yuldus, Shadrinsk district, Kurgan region, asked for help from the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. This is reported by the publication 116.RU.

“Today, 80% of the village burned down. We need a lot of help from you. We think you can help us. Here is a request from us: please help. We don't even have words. I think the republic has half a billion — well, it probably won't lose much. But gratitude [will be], and we will think that Tatarstan does not forget us,” said Ruzan Khafizov, a resident of Yuldus, in a video message to Minnikhanov.

According to Khafizov, who introduced himself as the last chairman of the local collective farm and an agronomist, more than 220 houses burned down in Yuldus, including his own. Residents have now been temporarily housed in the school. Baza and Ural Mash wrote that seven people died during the fires in the village. The Tatar-Inform agency reported that at least five residents were burned alive because they did not have time to evacuate.

“The source of fire from the village was twenty kilometers away. First, a Russian village caught fire there. The inhabitants of Uldus saw smoke and burning in the distance, and after a few minutes the fire was in the village. He walked over the tops of the trees. If he went downhill, it would be easier to stop him,” Marat Yunusov, chairman of the regional public organization “Tatars of the Trans-Urals”, told Tatar-Inform. . The head of Tatarstan has not yet commented on the request of the inhabitants of the Tatar village.
