According to the Associated Press, A shooting took place at the Mercedes-Benz plant in the city of Sindelfingen near Stuttgart, which left two people dead. The suspect, a 53-year-old Turkish citizen, was detained by law enforcement agencies, the Stuttgart prosecutor's office said.

By the time the police arrived at the scene, the suspect had already been neutralized by the company's security staff. He was arrested on suspicion of a double murder. Prosecutors did not provide details of the dead men and said the motive for the attack was under investigation.
