Anti-fragmentation vests for service dogs in the NVO zone were created in Donetsk

DONETSK, May 13. Anti-fragmentation vests for service dogs helping Russian attack aircraft on the front lines as part of a special military operation have been created in Donetsk, Mikhail Kondrus, director of the 3D Techno enterprise, said.
«We have developed and manufactured a splinterproof vest of a larger area and a smaller one. The large vest is fully equipped with Molly system lines to accommodate additional payload, such as a small amount of ammunition, these can be first aid kits and other useful load elements,» — he said.
Kondrus added that for regular tasks and everyday wear, a smaller vest with a ballistic anti-fragmentation package has been created. It can be placed on two sides of four stores for a Kalashnikov assault rifle and two grenades.

These two vests were designed individually — for a dog named Bandit. Its owner, a Russian marine with the call sign «Yary», said that the Bandit's old unloading equipment had become unusable over time, and he asked to make it more reliable, with anti-fragmentation protection.

According to him, dogs are very important for the front. «To run between buildings, to convey something. <…> It's hard to hit a dog, so it's a huge advantage when you train a dog to interact with a person at the front. Plus, it always psychologically calms the unit. Any dog ​​is a hearth of kindness and warmth,» the military man said.
These vests give the dog protection in classes Br1 and C2. Kondrus noted that they will be mass-produced, taking into account the anthropometric parameters of dogs of different breeds and the specifics of their service.
