MOSCOW, May 13. In Russia, the well-known powerful sniper cartridge 10.3×77 millimeters Cheytac has been replaced by imports — its serial production has begun from completely domestic components, Vladislav Lobaev, the head of the Lobaev Arms development company, said.

"We have created a completely Russian cartridge for rifles of the 375 Cheytac caliber, and have already begun its mass production. For the first time, our 375 Cheytac rifles are supplied with cartridges with a Russian cartridge case developed by Lobaev Arms and gunpowder from one Kazan enterprise, we used foreign components before,” he said.
Lobaev explained that, until recently, for cartridges of the specified Caliber cases were purchased from the USA and Australia, gunpowder was purchased from the States and Finland.
Specializing in the production of civilian and service sniper weapons, the company Lobaev Arms (Tarusa, Kaluga Region) is the first private defense enterprise in the history of Russia.< br />
One of the most famous sniper rifles developed by the company is the «Twilight» — the longest-range weapon of this class in the world today (the maximum range of hitting a target with «record» shooting is 4.2 kilometers).
