MOSCOW, May 12 . Acting Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo announced the development of a program for the socio-economic development of the region for 2023-2025.
«During a working meeting with the Minister of Economic Development Konstantin Kostin, I signed a regional program for the socio-economic development of the Kherson region for 2023-2025, created on the basis of the relevant federal program, taking into account the current situation and local conditions,» he wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to Saldo, specialists from all ministries and departments of the region have worked out in detail a specific set of measures aimed at stabilizing the social situation and ensuring exponential growth of the region's economic indicators in the current conditions. «The program contains activities in various fields of activity, including large infrastructure projects, the social sphere, education and healthcare, which will affect all residents of the Kherson region without exception. The implementation plan provides for a multiplicative economic development effect, when the implementation of some activities enhance the results of others,» the acting governor said.

In particular, the document includes the construction and reconstruction of schools, kindergartens, hospitals and other social facilities, and in the future — the development of transport infrastructure, agriculture, tourism and industry.
«»The growth of the population's income, free access to high-quality medical care and modern education are key guidelines in the implementation of the adopted program. We expect to see the first results of our work already this year, not only in reports, but also in the lives of our fellow citizens,» said Saldo .
As Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin reported earlier, the new regions must submit their detailed plans for socio-economic development to the Russian government within the framework of the general approved program.
Kherson region became a subject of the Russian Federation following a referendum held in September 2022. At the same time, the Ukrainian side does not recognize its legitimacy and continues to shell the territory of the region. Today, 75% of the territory of the Kherson region is under Russian control, and part on the right bank of the Dnieper, including Kherson, remains under Ukraine.
