From May 8, the management of the Angstrem microelectronics plant was transferred to another company — the United Instrument-Making Corporation, which is part of Rostec. Data on this, as RBC drew attention, appeared in the Rusprofile service, which collects data on legal entities.
Angstrem was created in Zelenograd near Moscow in Soviet times as a pilot plant at the Precision Technology Research Institute. Now, according to RBC, a full-cycle enterprise for the production of microcircuits and power semiconductor devices belongs to Alternativa Capital, the former Minister of Communications Leonid Reiman.
According to RBC sources, the management of the enterprise was transferred to the Rostec structure due to » disruption of the state bond order. For this reason, President Vladimir Putin authorized the removal of shareholders of companies supplying the army from management for this reason in March 2023.
A new management organization, according to Putin's decree, is selected by a working group under the board of the Government's Military-Industrial Commission from the options selected by the Ministry of Industry and Trade .
The failure of the state order in Angstrem occurred due to a «lack of components», and suppliers «failed to fulfill the tasks of providing troops with communication systems,» an unnamed RBC interlocutor said.
