Ministry of Defense: Russian Armed Forces shot down Su-24 and MiG-29 that fired Storm Shadow missiles at Lugansk

Two Ukrainian planes that attacked Luhansk with British cruise missiles were shot down by the Russian military, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.
The missile attack was carried out on May 12 in 18:30 by combat aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the Polypak polymer products enterprise and the Milam meat processing plant. The British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles were used to strike, despite the fact that London stated that the supplied weapons would not be used against civilian targets, the Russian Ministry of Defense noted.
A fire started at the enterprises that were hit, nearby houses were also damaged, civilians, including six children, were injured.
Russian fighters shot down a Ukrainian Su-24 that fired missiles, as well as a MiG-29 covering it.
