MOSCOW, May 11. Rosfinmonitoring has included actor Artur Smolyaninov* and ex-adviser to the head of Vladimir Zelensky's office, Alexei Arestovich, on the list of terrorists and extremists.

In early January, Smolyaninov* made resonant statements in an interview with Novaya Gazeta. Europe (blocked in Russia). In particular, the actor said that if he participated in the conflict in Ukraine, then on the side of Kyiv. In addition, he said that he does not care about Russia, even if only one region remains of it, «and everything else will turn into radioactive ashes.»
Later, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to open a criminal case against the artist. In January, the Ministry of Justice included Smolyaninov in the register of foreign agents.
Aleksey Arestovich is a Ukrainian politician and blogger. From 2020 to 2023, he worked as a freelance adviser to Volodymyr Zelensky's office.

In August last year, the Investigative Committee reported that on the air of one of the TV channels she «expressed a position on the need to kill Russian people on a national basis», advocating «merciless destruction.» At that time, the department stated that it would study these statements as part of the criminal case, but the results of the measures taken were not reported.
People and organizations included in the list of terrorists and extremists are prohibited from interacting with the media, posting information on the Web, organizing public events, participate in elections and use any financial services that do not relate to the payment of taxes, salaries and damages.
