MOSCOW, 11 May. Poet and fashion designer Virginia von Furstenberg has died, writes TG Rai Alto Adige. She was 48 years old.
The body was found on the terrace of a hotel in Merano, northern Italy, with injuries consistent with a fall from a height.
The socialite is the granddaughter of Tassilo von Furstenberg and Clara Agnelli, whose grandfather was the founder of the automobile company Fiat SpA. Virginia's father is Sebastian von Furstenberg. His brother Egon is the ex-husband of iconic designer Diane von Furstenberg (nee Halfin).
Virginia was born in Genoa and lived in Milan. She founded the brand Virginia Von Zu Furstenberg. The aristocrat was married three times. She has five children.
The death of actress Jacklyn Ziemen was previously reported.
