
MOSCOW, May 12 . Soviet actor and poet Oleg Sevastyanov died at the age of 74, according to a message posted on his Facebook page.*
«We regret to inform you that Oleg Sevastyanov passed away on May 10, 2023, an actor by profession, a pastor and a poet by vocation,” the message says.
Oleg Sevastyanov graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School in 1973. As an actor, he gained fame thanks to the paintings «The Bronze Bird», «Stands» and «12 Chairs». In 1990, Sevastyanov became a Lutheran pastor and received a master's degree in theology from the United States. He served in Lutheran parishes in Moscow and Estonia. Since 2012, Sevastyanov has published several books of spiritual prose and poetry.
