German conductor Leo Kremer to perform in St. Petersburg

MOSCOW, May 11. German conductor and organist Leo Kremer will perform at the St. Petersburg Philharmonic on May 15 and 18, the institution's press service reports.
On the first evening, he will conduct the Chamber Orchestra of the Honored Collective of Russia. Works by Viennese composers will be performed: Beethoven's Second Symphony, Schubert's Third Symphony and Mozart's Oboe Concerto.
During the second, Kremer will perform works by Bach and Mendelssohn on the organ.

Kremer is a laureate of international organ competitions in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy.He heads the Saarland Bach Society.

His Petersburg performances are included in the program of the 16th International Musical Collection Festival, which opened on May 4 with a concert by Eliso Virsaladze and the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic conducted by People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Alekseev.
