St. Petersburg, May 12. Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev called it a fatal mistake that the security architecture did not spell out the inadmissibility of attempts by one state to usurp all power.
“Unfortunately, the victorious countries, including our country, made a fatal mistake. They did not include mechanisms of protection against attempts by one or several states to usurp the entire system in their interests into the architecture of the post-war institutions of collective security,” Medvedev said at the XI St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.
He considers this the result of «general euphoria» after the final victory over Nazi Germany.
